Sinchana’s Journey: From Struggles to Strength
Sinchana Navalgund hails from Sulla Village. Her life took a tragic turn at just four years old when she lost her father, a daily wage laborer earning only Rs. 100 a day. His sudden death due to typhoid left the family in deep distress. Her mother, Kalavathi, married at 16 and with limited education, struggled to feed and raise her two children. With no stable income, Kalavathi worked tirelessly as a tailor, but the burden was overwhelming. At one point, Sinchana and her sibling had to rely on their grandparents for shelter and food. Just when hope seemed out of reach, an Anganwadi teacher introduced the family to the Jehovah Jireh Foundation Orphan Sponsorship Program (JJF OSCP).
For the past 7 years, this support has transformed Sinchana’s life covering her school fees, tuition, supplies, and clothing. She is now thriving in school, showing remarkable academic progress and confidence.“I’m so grateful,” Sinchana says. “Because of this support, I can dream of a better future.”
